Chartering Manager (Work-Life Balance / Full Benefits / Dry Bulk Commodities)

Responsibilities:

• Fleet Management: Lead the chartering and deployment of the fleet, optimizing contracts and vessel positioning.
• Market Analysis: Conduct research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the dry bulk shipping sector.
• Stakeholder Relations: Manage relationships with clients and brokers, negotiating charter terms to enhance market presence.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favourable charter contracts while mitigating risks related to freight rates and operational issues.
• Performance Monitoring: Review profit margins, optimize voyage performance, and implement strategies for fleet profitability.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Higher Diploma or Degree in International Shipping and Transport Logistics.
• Chartering Knowledge: Familiarity with time and voyage charters, including lay-time calculations and marine insurance.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in chartering or operations with dry bulk carriers.
• Language Skills: Proficient in both written and spoken English and Cantonese.
• Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently, be well-organized, and effectively collaborate as a team player.
