Our client is a dynamic and expanding private group specialising in the high-end Japanese dining sector. They currently operate several premium restaurants across Hong Kong, dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences and top-tier ingredients. In addition to their food and beverage operations, their business portfolio includes successful ventures in premium pet food and dietary supplements.
They are seeking a highly organised and bilingual Secretary & Administrator to provide essential support to their Director and serve as a vital communication bridge for their Japanese Executive Chef.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Director, including managing complex schedules, personal appointments, and family-related administrative matters.
Act as the primary translator and communication bridge between the Japanese Executive Chef and the local/Mainland operational teams.
Oversee general office administration and procurement, coordinate maintenance for office and restaurant facilities/equipment.
Handle administrative duties related to F&B licensing, insurance, property rental agreements, and visa applications (including domestic helper contracts).
Manage corporate car services, travel itineraries, and coordinate meetings (preparing materials, agendas, and minutes).
Assist with special assignments as directed, particularly in coordinating the Mainland China operations.
Requirements
Degree holder / Certified in secretarial studies with 5 to 10 years of solid, relevant professional experience.
Must be fluent in Japanese, with excellent spoken and written English and Mandarin, ability to provide accurate translation/interpretation for the Japanese Executive Chef is essential.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong knowledge of modern office management systems.
Willingness to occasionally travel to Mainland China to handle administrative matters for their regional branches.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
